Fifth Grade is SNOW much fun!

It's back to school and fifth graders are busy, busy, busy!!! We're working really hard to get ready for our new standardized test coming in April. With winter here and school might be canceled, check both this blog and your child's teacher's webpage for information on activities and learning sites to use for practice! Keeping good books around are a great way to keep students engaged and can lead to some fun discussions about stories.

Many exciting clubs are starting soon - STEM kids will be Wednesdays after school with Mrs. Baldwin and Running Club will be Mondays and Wednesdays after school in the gym. Check with your child to see if they were accepted to participate in any of these wonderful after school learning and exercising opportunities.

Congratulations to all our class spelling bee winners! They participated in our school spelling bee on January 9th. Class winners were - Christopher Chagoya, Kaiden Robinson, Diego Lopez, Celeste Flores, and Jamia Sims. The winner and runner up were fifth graders! Congratulations to Kaiden Robinson for winning the school spelling bee! Congratulations to Jamia Sims for being our runner up! Fifth Grade is so proud of you!

There are many great things happening at Sugar Hill so be sure to check your child's Monday folder for flyers and information about upcoming events and activities!
